Hydro Bromptonville Inc.

Located on the Saint-François River, in Sherbrooke (Brompton borough), Québec, the plant has been in service since 1997. The energy it produces is sold to Hydro-Québec Production under a Power Purchase Agreement.

In the past, the hydraulic power of the Larocque Dam had been used to work the grinders that separate the bark and fiber of the wood used in the mill. But for a while, the dam was no longer in use. The Company decided to optimize this resource, which was available in its natural setting, while ensuring the management and maintenance of the power plant.
