Kruger Inc. and Kruger Energy operate seven hydroelectric plants totalling 159.65 MW of installed capacity. Three of these plants are located in Canada – one at the site of Kruger's paper mill in Brompton (Québec) and two in Newfoundland-and-Labrador where Deer Lake Power provides electric energy to Kruger's Corner Brook paper mill. The four other hydroelectric plants are located in the United States.
